ABSTRACT

Electronic banking System has become an important practice among Commercial Banks in Nigeria. The introduction of this electronic banking has improved banking efficiency in rendering services to customers.   It was in line with this that the study aimed at examining the impact of electronic banking in Nigerian banking system.   Through the cluster sampling techniques, data were collected by means of questionnaires from 40 Unity Bank Plc officers and the result shows that Unity Bank Electronic Banking guidelines are in line with the CBN’s electronic banking guidelines.   The bank has an effective electronic banking system which has improved its customers’ relationship and satisfaction.   To this end, it is recommended that the bank’s information technology training programme should be encouraged among the staff of the Unity Bank, necessary legal banking codes should be established in order to enhance the growth of the banking industry.
